The 2025 Smithsonian Beethoven Academy brings together twelve Beethoven Fellows to study nine of Beethoven's most important Trios for fortepiano, piano, violin, and cello under the mentorship of esteemed faculty.
This year's Fellows are violinists Freya Creech, Will Copeland, Josh Liu, and Maya Johnson; cellists Clara Abel, Zachary Earle, Grace Mockus, and Alexa Haynes Pilon; and fortepianists Mikhail Grazhdanov, Leanne Jin, Cezary Karwowski, and Aaron Tan.
In addition to intensive rehearsals and private house concerts, there are four free public events in the National Museum of American History's Taubman Hall of Music, for which no tickets or advance reservations are necessary:
