The Smithsonian Academy Orchestra, conducted by Kenneth Slowik

The Smithsonian Academy Orchestra brings together top young early music professionals for an exploration of 18th and 19th century orchestral repertoire. Under the guidance of Kenneth Slowik, performers not only delve into classical performance practice but also attend lectures by esteemed musicologists, deepening their understanding of the repertoire's historical context. You can hear the SAO perform in four locations throughout their October tour (free admission):
